第42课　顺便做某事

今天我们学习如何表示顺便做某事。“Drop by”是一个很好的词组，表示“顺便拜访，顺便去做某事”：

I'll drop by on my way home if I have time. 有空的话回家途中我会顺便来看你。

My friends dropped by to see me on their business trip.　我的朋友们出差途中，顺便来看了我。

Could you drop by to buy me some drugs on your way to your office?　你能在去办公室的路上，顺便给我捎些药回来吧？

I’d like to drop by to visit one of our executive accounts.　我想顺便拜访一下我们的一个重要客户。

Don’t bother to come over when you’re busy, just drop by anytime.　忙时不用专门跑一趟，随时顺便过来一下就行了。

另外一个顺便做某事的词组：“by the way”, 它是“顺便，附带说说”的意思：

By the way, I’ve got you a nice necklace. 顺便提一下，我给你带来子一条漂亮的项链。

By the way, what time is it now? 顺便问一下，现在几点？

By the way, have you met my cousin Betty?　 顺便问一句，你见过表妹贝綈吗？

By the way, I’ve put your new arrangement on your calendar.　 顺便告诉你一声，我已经在你的日历上把你的新安排放上去了。

By the way, I can't see any distinction between these two cases. 顺便提一下，我看不出这两个案例有什么不同。
